How to Set Order Timing โ€” Opening and Closing Time Per Theatre

As the owner, you control exactly when food ordering opens and closes at each of your theatre locations. Customers cannot place orders outside your configured window.

1
Log in to Owner Dashboard
Open MovieQuick on your phone or computer and log in with your owner credentials.
2
Go to Settings โ€” Select Your Theatre
Choose which theatre location you want to configure the order timing for.
3

This setting can be configured per theatre location separately. Different opening and closing times can be set for each of your properties.

How to Set Minimum Order Amount โ€” Optional Setting Per Your Policy

You can set a minimum order value at your theatre. Customers cannot place orders below this amount. This is fully optional and depends on your theatre's policy.

1
Go to Settings in Owner Dashboard

2
Enter Minimum Order Amount
Type the minimum order value in rupees. Example โ€” โ‚น100. Customers below this amount cannot checkout.

Setting a minimum order amount is optional. If you do not set this, customers can order any amount. Configurable per location.

How Refund Policy Works โ€” Built Around Your Theatre's Own Terms

MovieQuick builds the refund workflow around your theatre's own policy. You decide whether your theatre processes refunds, what the eligibility is, and how the return process works. The system then enforces whatever you configure.

โœ…
Theatre Offers Refunds
Configure your refund window, eligibility rules, and process. MovieQuick enforces it automatically at your counter.
โŒ
Theatre Does Not Offer Refunds
System reflects no-refund policy. Customers see your terms at checkout. No refund option shown anywhere.
All refund terms, eligibility, and processing are decided by the theatre owner โ€” not by MovieQuick. Your policy. Your system.

Data Sheet Download โ€” Morning and Evening Sessions

MovieQuick generates data sheets on a 24-hour session basis. You can download your complete data sheet in the morning and in the evening from your owner dashboard โ€” covering all orders, all payments, all locations for that session period.

As a manager, you have two applications โ€” the Dashboard and the POS. Both show data only from your assigned theatre. You cannot see any other location under any circumstance. The movie theater POS software at your counter and your dashboard work together โ€” every QR code ordering system order from a customer's seat flows through both automatically.

How to Use the Concession Stand POS System at Your Theatre

The POS is the application at the counter. You use it to receive incoming QR orders from customers, create orders for walk-in customers, generate bills, and update order status. This is the cinema point of sale your staff operate every shift โ€” and as manager, you have full access to it for your location.

1
Open POS and Start Session
Log in with your manager credentials and start the POS session for your counter. POS runs on a 24-hour session.
2
Receive Incoming QR Orders
Orders placed by customers via QR code from their seat appear on the POS screen automatically with alarm beep and print. Status shows as PENDING.
3
Create Counter Orders
For customers who walk up to the counter directly โ€” select items on POS, generate order, print bill. Same process as a QR order.
4
Update Order Status
When food is ready and delivered โ€” mark the order as DONE on the POS. Every order status is tracked.
5
Download Data Sheet
At morning and evening โ€” download your complete session data sheet from the POS. All orders, all payments, all counters for that period.

How to Assign Staff to Counter Systems

As manager, you decide which staff member operates which counter system and printer at your theatre. Each staff member is assigned to one specific system โ€” they work only on that system.

1
Go to Staff Management in Your Dashboard
Open Staff Management section inside your manager dashboard for your theatre.
2
Select Staff Member
Choose the staff member you want to assign โ€” for example, Rahul at Counter 1.
3
Assign System Number
Assign them to a specific system number โ€” for example, System 1 at Counter 1. That staff member now operates only that system.
4
Assign Printer
Assign which printer that staff member's counter uses. All their orders print on that printer automatically.
The admin or owner can also assign staff to specific systems. But you as the manager make the day-to-day system assignment decisions at your theatre.

How to Accept or Reject Orders โ€” Item, Category, Screen Level

You control what gets ordered at your theatre at any time during a show. You can stop orders for a specific item, category, screen, or your entire theatre instantly.

๐Ÿฟ
Specific Item
Butter Popcorn runs out mid-show. Mark it unavailable. It disappears from customer menu at that screen instantly.
๐Ÿฅค
Category
Pause the entire beverages category at a counter. All drinks stop showing on the menu for that screen or location.
๐Ÿ“บ
Specific Screen
Screen 2 counter is busy or closed. Stop accepting orders from Screen 2 entirely. Other screens continue normally.
๐Ÿ›๏ธ
Entire Theatre
Pause all ordering at your theatre for maintenance or operational reasons. Resume in one click when ready.
