How to Use MovieQuick Owner Dashboard โ€” Cinema POS Software Guide for Theatre Owners

This guide is for theatre and multiplex owners using MovieQuick. You have the owner dashboard โ€” full access across all your locations. No POS access needed. Everything your cinema generates is visible to you live from one login on any phone or computer. This guide walks you through every section of your owner dashboard step by step.

What the Owner Gets โ€” Full Dashboard Access Across Every Location

As the owner or admin of MovieQuick, you access the Dashboard only โ€” not the POS. The dashboard shows you every order, every transaction, every counter, and every location in real time. The cinema point of sale operations โ€” receiving orders, updating status, printing bills โ€” happen at the counter level handled by your staff and managers. Your QR code ordering system routes every customer seat order to the right counter automatically. You see all of it from the dashboard without touching anything.

What Each Dashboard Indicator Means

Total Order Amount
The single most important number on your dashboard โ€” total revenue across all orders (both QR seat orders and POS counter orders combined) for the selected date range. This is your top-line revenue figure for the period.
Total Orders
Total number of orders processed at all your locations combined โ€” for the selected date range. Both QR customer orders and POS counter orders counted together. Shows % change vs previous period.
Total Cancelled Orders
Number of orders cancelled at all locations. You can click this to see which location, which screen, which counter, and which staff member processed the cancellation.
Total Customers
Unique customer count who placed orders via the QR code food ordering system from their seats. Does not include walk-in POS counter orders โ€” those are tracked separately.
Customer Order Amount
Total revenue generated from QR seat orders only โ€” customers who ordered from their seats via the QR code menu system. This is your core interval revenue number.
POS Order Amount
Total revenue from counter POS orders only โ€” orders created by staff at the concession stand POS for walk-in customers. Tracked separately from QR seat order revenue.
Discount Amount
Total value of discounts applied across all orders for the selected period. Useful for tracking if managers are applying excessive discounts at their locations.
GST Amount
Total GST collected across all transactions for the period. Split by applicable tax slabs โ€” 5% and 12% โ€” across all your cinema F&B items. Ready for your accountant.
COD Orders Amount
Cash on delivery โ€” total cash collected at all your counters. Cross-checked automatically against POS session reconciliation at shift end. Flags any cash discrepancy.
Card Orders Amount
Total credit card and debit card transactions combined. You can drill down into the transaction report to see credit and debit card amounts separately by location.
UPI Orders Amount
Total UPI payments across all transactions โ€” Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, and all other UPI apps. Every UPI transaction logged against its specific order and counter.

Order Status Tracking โ€” 5 Live Stages Visible on Your Dashboard at All Times

Every order in your cinema moves through 5 status stages. As the owner, you see a live count of orders at each stage across all your locations in real time. This tells you exactly how efficiently your counters are operating during any show.

1
PENDING
Order placed by customer via QR seat ordering or by staff at counter. Waiting at the counter โ€” not yet picked up by staff for processing.
2
PROCESSING
Staff confirmed the order and started preparing the food. Counter is actively working on this order right now.
3
READY TO DELIVERY
Food is packed and ready. Being dispatched to the customer's seat or available for pickup at the counter.
4
DELIVERED
Order successfully delivered to the customer's seat or collected at the counter. Transaction complete.
5
CANCELLED
Order cancelled โ€” by staff, manager, or as per your theatre's refund policy. Reason logged. Refund processed per your configured policy.
What High PENDING Count Tells You
If you see a high PENDING count on your dashboard during a show โ€” your counter is receiving more orders than it can process. This tells you to add a counter or add staff. The dashboard gives you this insight in real time โ€” before revenue is lost.
What High CANCELLED Count Tells You
A rising cancelled order count is a signal worth investigating. It could mean items are running out, the counter is understaffed, or a manager is incorrectly cancelling orders. The dashboard shows which location and which counter it is coming from.
PROCESSING to READY Time โ€” Your Efficiency Signal
The time an order spends in PROCESSING before moving to READY is your kitchen speed indicator. Consistently long PROCESSING times at a specific counter tell you exactly where the bottleneck is in your operation.

Daily P&L Report โ€” Your Movie Theater POS System Generates This Automatically Every Day

Your owner dashboard generates complete reports automatically. No manual input. No calls to managers. Filter any report by date, by screen, by theatre location, or by payment transaction type. Every number updates in real time.

Date Filter โ€” Check Any Report by Today, Yesterday, This Month, Last Month, or Custom Range

Every report in your dashboard has a date filter at the top. Switch between date ranges with one click. Results update instantly.

๐Ÿ“… Date Filter โ€” Active on All Reports
Today โ€” All orders and revenue from today's operating session only.
Yesterday โ€” Complete previous day summary. Compare with today in one view.
This Month โ€” Running total for current calendar month across all locations.
Last Month โ€” Full previous month data. Use for monthly review and P&L comparison.
Custom โ€” Select any specific date range. Any start date to any end date. Useful for event-period analysis.

Report by Screen โ€” Revenue and Orders per Screen

See which screen at your cinema is generating the most F&B revenue per show. Use this to decide where to add counters, which screen needs a dedicated staff member, or which show timings are your highest-revenue slots.

Report by Theatre โ€” All Locations Comparison

If you own multiple theatre properties, the theatre-level report shows every location's performance side by side. Compare revenue, order count, and transaction breakdown between all your properties for any date range.

Food Court Management โ€” Monitored Separately on Your Owner Dashboard

If your cinema has a food court, MovieQuick tracks it completely separately from your in-screen concession counters. The food court has its own counter, its own staff, its own menu, and its own reporting section on your dashboard. All food court revenue rolls up into your combined totals automatically.
